I’m deeply impressed by how Pieter embodied the Free/Open Source spirit and applied it even to his own passing away, making everybody, in some sense, a part of his family.

If I observed correctly his number of Twitter followers has grown substantially over the last days and weeks, and my gut feeling says that many new people will start reading Pieter’s excellent writings and also contribute to ZeroMQ. For those who knew Pieter it will be a sad, and intense, experience to re-read him.
