Offtopic, but I'll bite.

Also, http://hintjens.com/blog:31 if you want my opinion on owning ideas.

When you make software either you're in the wrong area, or you will
get competitors. They will take your ideas an improve on them. You can
dislike that, yet it's a fact of life. The best is to take their
improvements back. You can encourage potential competitors to become
contributors by building reusable layers they will use in their
products.
