[zeromq-dev] Naming of the Pyre project

Hi,

I don't know if people have followed the discussion on the Pyre github.
It seems there is another project called Pyre. Therefore there's a
discussion for renaming Pyre in order to have it listed on Pypi.

https://github.com/zeromq/pyre/issues/14

I'm personally not so much troubled by not being listed on Pypi but as
more people get involved this is of more importance.
Suggested names are now: just zyre, pyzyre however these also conflict
with existing zmq projects.

Another note about this. As zyre python bindings are generated nowadays
I would like the python zyre module to detect whether it can access the
C library or revert to the native python zyre (Pyre). This is being done
for a lot of python modules. (i.e.
http://api.mongodb.org/python/current/api/pymongo/index.html#pymongo.has_c)

Does anybody have any suggestions, objections, advice etc?

Rg,

Arnaud
