[zeromq-dev] error: ISO C++ 1998 does not support 'long long'

So by default it sets pedantic to yes, then selectively disables it
for some platforms.

The smartest change would be to detect your platform and disable it
automatically. However as a first step, this is manual override.
"./configure --with-relaxed"
