[zeromq-dev] jzmq router socket unable to bind to address

Possibly you've got some mix up in library versions? Your code looks fine.

Here's a minimal C version of the same code, which works fine:

#include "zmq.h"
int main (void)
{
    void *ctx = zmq_ctx_new ();
    void *router = zmq_socket (ctx, ZMQ_ROUTER);
    zmq_bind (router, "tcp://*:4005");
    return 0;
}
