On Windows MSVC is the primary compilation environment, CMake is for
building the release installers. I'm not aware if any packages have been
made for Cygwin or Mingw, but the platforms are certainly at varying levels
of stability for 64-bit.
Can you try different combinations of architecture and compiler and report
the status? Mingw in particular funky as you can cross build in Linux and
see different results.
The stretch platform is wine-gcc, but executables from the other toolsets
should run fine there too.
