[zeromq-dev] HTTP load balancing via message queue

I am not sure if anyone have thinking about this idea before.

In the recent Heroku random routing issue (see HN discussion here:
http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5230602). Someone had mentioned why not
to use a message queue to handle the load balancing which is fair
and scalable.

I think this idea is cool and almost going to work on the prototype
today..but just want to heard from others, have you tried to implement a
load balancer in such as way that completely relying on a message queue?

Any caveat or reason why this approach is not popular/mature?
