Forgot to mention I've set HWM for all 4 (pub\sub on both sides) to a very high number.. 1Mn.

Hi Steven

I tried numbers like 10,000 and even then it took almost 7 seconds.

It seems the throughput is the bottleneck here.... Thoughts? Do I need PGM tweeking?

 Transport:                     ZMQ
 Protocol:                      epgm
 Messages recd:                 10000
 Total Time:                    7930204 us
 Throughput:                    0.15132 Mbps
 Avg per msg:                   793.02 us

Ours is a gigabit network so 160us to 200us round trip for individual messages looks ok right?

That's a really small amount of messages to test a transport that can handle 100,000+ per second.

 Average / message:        168.421 us
 Max time:                      200 us

One-way latency for datagrams is 80-90µs with most gigabit networks, you need 10 GigE or InfiniBand for lower latencies.
