Hi Folks,
I've published the RC2. Sorry for the delay.
The changes are on https://raw.github.com/zeromq/zeromq3-x/master/NEWS
Thanks to AJ Lewis, Alessandro Ghedini, Arthur O'Dwyer, Astellar,
Chuck Remes, Cyril Holweck, Hiten P, Ian Barber, Ivan Pechorin, Javier
Lopez, Jos Decoster, John Murphy, Joshua Gao, Kobolog, Lourens Naudé,
Martin Hurton, Matthew Metnetsky, Michel Pelletier, Mikko Koppanen,
MinRK, Ricardo Catalinas Jiménez, Rohan Bedarkar, Sebastian Lauwers,
Steven McCoy, and Vaughan Newton for their contributions to this
release.
If you were previously tracking zeromq3-x, you may get merge
conflicts, as I force-pushed the libzmq master. If you need help
syncing, please ask. There were so _many_ changes, and libzmq master
has been so stable that this seemed the simplest option. (I deleted my
fork and re-forked zeromq3-x.)
The key change is a new wire protocol with full backwards
compatibility with 0MQ/2.2. Kudos to Martin Hurton for getting this to
work. If you're implementing the ZMTP protocol, please read the new
spec here: http://rfc.zeromq.org/spec:15.
Our focus on the 3.2 branch will now be stability, so we can start to
deprecate 2.2. Thus the next version in libzmq master is 3.3.0.
-Pieter
