yes looks zmq::ipc_listener_t::set_address just calls ::unlink on the 
file associated with socket.

the close method also unlinks  to clean up  but in the case where there 
are multiple processes running, the last one is going to win......

I have a recollection that there is actually some linux specific fix to 
this discussed on the list.
