I'm in the same camp.  I started this thread from the perspective that czmq
does some things that make using zeromq nicer/more intuitive from a higher
level binding, and I thought some formalization / documentation of this
sort of thing would be helpful for me and other bindings authors, so that I
might follow suit with PyZMQ as appropriate.  I did not mean to propose any
changes *at all* for libzmq itself.  I merely meant to have a conversation
that would flesh out the contents of the Guidelines for
Bindings<http://www.zeromq.org/docs:bindings>
