Hi Lorin,
Regarding the monitor error, could you verify with a checkout of current
master of either of these repos (it's recently been fixed there ) ?
* https://github.com/zeromq/libzmq
* https://github.com/zeromq/zeromq3-x
The shutdown stress failure is common on OS X with default ulimit settings
( 256 open fd limit ). As per http://www.zeromq.org/docs:tuning-zeromq ,
run "ulimit -n 1200"
