Pieter Hintjens (CEO of iMatix) is coming into Chicago the afternoon of Thursday, Oct 20. We would like to have a meetup at a bar somewhere in the Loop (or very nearby) to talk about our favorite socket library.
If any local company would like to host the gathering, please send me an email and we'll discuss off list. In the absence of a corporate host, I would like to suggest that we meet at Dugan's Bar [1]. It's a cheap (< $5) cab ride from the Loop but it's big enough to accommodate a gathering of a dozen+. Plus, there are several excellent Greek restaurants within easy walking distance.
If you are interested in attending, please add your name to the Wiki page [2] tracking this event (or respond here and I'll do it).
Agenda:
1. Drink beer
2. Discuss current 0mq status and near-future plans
3. Preach the joy that is 0mq 3.0
Hope to see you there!

PS - the bar does *not* have wifi, so a hackfest isn't too likely.
