Doesn't seem to be the case here. It's an 8GB RAM box and I've run the tests when it has anywhere between 2GB and ~6GB free and there doesn't seem to be any noticeable change.

I've also run it after rebooting, reset limits, etc. to higher values (as per the tuning page), and now I'm getting a more widely varied behavior than before. I.e., some runs it will complete at what looks to be full speed and other runs will have the slow down (but not as drastic as earlier ~2 secs to ~9.5 seconds).

I've run the tests quite a few times now with different numbers of workers, etc. and with variety of pauses between tests. I haven't noticed any oddly lingering sockets. All of the workers and the ventilator and sink all exit correctly -- just the performance oddity.

Thanks,
John
