I will try to upgrade to the latest PHP version. By now 5.1.6 is the latest in the Red Hat yum repository.

I must admit I haven't tried it on 5.1.x at all - but I would imagine that there are a few issues there. Mikko might know more, but I would say that it almost certainly requires 5.2 or 5.3. I'll update the bindings page to reflect that.
