Cool, sounds like fun.
So you'll also have to worry about decentralized (or at least distributed) security, privacy, etc. You might want to check out things like Tahoe-LFS ( http://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs ) and Oceanstore ( http://oceanstore.cs.berkeley.edu/ ) ?
