[zeromq-dev] Push/Pull performance with Scala Bindings (Using Giovanni's Scala code)

Hi all,
I am playing with a push pull example in scala using Giovanni's scala examples
for: (tasksing, taskvent, taskwork)
I was wondering what kind of performance I should be expecting running as
localhost. I am trying to achieve the MPS throughput that I saw mentioned on
this blog site:

I am only seeing 5000 or so MPS where the author shows a graph with over 1
Million per second using a batching/ACK.
Can anyone tell me what I should be expecting and why when running the sample
Scala code I mentioned above I get a much slower MPS. Is this what one could
expect, or is there something radically wrong here.
I am using OSX on a dual core macbook pro.
All the best,
Charlie
