It seems that in 2.1.x, librt is needed anyway for sem_init. Which
also explains why it worked for me and not for you. I was always
working on zeromq2-1 master...

It is my impression that libzmq (3.1 ?) should not yet be used for
production systems, right? Does anyone know a timeframe/roadmap when
3.1 will be ready?
