Yes. See here:
"Despite being officially registered to the Infoseek Personal Agent
protocol, the communication port 5555 also plays host to a number of
other services. One of the more popular protocols to gain access to this
port is the HP Data Protector application which is responsible for
automating high performance recovery and backup from the disk storage
device to the tape media.
Via the network port 5555, a balance between lowering IT operation cost
and better operation efficiency is achieved. The execution of this model
is designed to provide an easy and simple to understand interface which
reduces complexity normally associated with data transmission over
extended networks. The availability of this port supports the extensive
scalability features of this single product.
The usage of the communication port 5555 also ensures a zero downtime in
the application's operation coupled with an online support for extended
databases.
The computer port 5555 also allows for the implementation of the SAP
(Session Announcement Protocol) used for broadcasting information
related to multicast sessions."
However, we may encounter the same problem with 5560 sooner or later.
What about using one of the high ports instead?
Martin
