Please see the wiki, I probably need to make the instructions more verbose,
but the setup should be very simple. The article Setting-up-salt is what you
need.
I have not tested on very many platforms yet, but it you have python 2.6 or
later and can meet the deps then you should be good to go. Please let me
know if you have any trouble so I can make the docs clearer and weed out
bugs!
I have also posted a high level description of Salt on the salt wiki and
will have an article up shortly that covers the problems solved with salt.
