Not meaning to pick on you, but that's precisely the communication
problem. You're communicating in source code.

I remember that I proposed to you on the exact day you sent out that email
that I would like to spell out the (proposed) 3.0 API changes in detail,
with discussion points and rationale. You said you didn't think it was
necessary, but that I should go ahead. Then, a couple of hours later, you
sent your code to the list which basically put me off from documenting the
proposal. After all, what's the point if you're just going to go off and
code?

I see that Pieter has persevered on documenting those changes, kudos to
him.
