Same behaviour as Bob have seen. Message is delivered twice.

Observations:

1. It happens on loopback. Thus no hardware is involved in the problem.

2. When checking the packets via wireshark (monitoring lo interface) 
both source and destination IP are set to my eth0 interface address. The 
multicast group is nowhere to be seen.
