IMHO the traditional presentations became archaic and mostly useless
from the technical PoV since 2000ies (I mean that looking at the guy
who shows ppt slides from his laptop is less valuable for
understanding than digging into docs with aid of Google and
wikipedia).
However just for meeting people - real-world meetings still has some
obvious benefits from non-technical PoV. So if someone from FastMQ or
iMatix will decide to visit our expensive, cold, unfriendly and
overpeopled town with deadly polluted environment and enormous traffic
jams, then I personally will be glad to meet you :)
