Ah, but there are two separate problems here, I'm solving the most
painful one first.  That is, removing the hard coded style from each
of a mass of pages and creating a single dynamic template
(area:_template) to do the work.

The second problem is then to define what that 'work' is. :-)  You
really do not want to want to edit the whole site to make CSS tweaks.

Sorry for not even trying to make a proper print CSS, I was running
out of battery life.  Am back on the mains now...
