Thanks for the report, at least that confirms MacOS X is also affected, so
that looks like all platforms with a *BSD network stack fare the same.

test_shutdown_stress is somewhat overzealous; the problem you're seeing
won't affect most normal scenarios. Having said that, it'll need to be
fixed, but a proper solution is problematic.
