My proposal is simply to mandate that a Signed-Off-By: be required on all
patches sent to the mailing list and all commits going into Git. The
presence of the Signed-Off-By: indicates the developer's acceptance of a
"Certificate of Origin" which will be published on the Wiki on the
Contribtions page and included in a README file in released tarballs.
In fact, the entire contribution policy should be included in released
tarballs since some Contributors may be basing their work simply off those.
This is the essence of the Linux kernel policy as documented in the
SubmittingPatches document I pointed you to.
I'm happy to formalize this, just not right now, am busy with "real work".
