As far as I know, nobody have ever tried that. The main problem IMO is 
that DDS is pretty complex so implementing DDS over 0MQ from a scratch 
would be rather painful. Still the option of taking say OpenSplice and 
replacing the networking layer with 0MQ is an option (also note the 
compatibility of licenses). Are you interested in giving it a try?
