Hello,

Maybe you have noticed that we have added multicast support into 0MQ trunk,
namely OpenPGM which can be found on
http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/OpenPGM. OpenPGM is an open
source implementation of the PGM specification in RFC 3208.

Thanks to the Miru (http://miru.hk) company for fast responses to our
question and problems solving, here are first unofficial 0MQ + OpenPGM
latency test results.

PGM:
message size 1B, latency 53us
message size 512B, latency 71us
message size 1024B, 83us

PGM with UDP encapsulation:
message size 1B, latency 53us
message size 512B, latency 72.5us
message size 1024B, 85us

Test: ping-pong scenario, 100 000 message roundtrips, latency in results
means one way latency.

Have to say that were were pleasantly surprised with achieved latency.
