For a recent example, STAC performed a test with LBM middleware using
OpenOnload gaining 19 μs mean latency:

PGM can also run with OpenOnload requiring no code changes. It can
also theoretically run on top of native Infiniband verbs presenting
the same interface to 0MQ and other applications.
