We will hopefully release the new version today, but of course it's
never too late to run the tests and report the problems.
We are running the tests on different platforms including SLES and SLERT
ourselves, however, we don't cover openSUSE so your help would be
appreciated.
As for the tests to run, the test suite consists of following items:
* C++ latency & throughput tests
* C latency & throughput tests
* Java latency & throughput tests
* Python latency & throughput tests
* CLR (mono) latency & throughput tests
All the tests are in /perf/tests/zmq directory. Feel free to consult any
problems you may encounter on the way.
There are other items like examples (chat, camera, exchange, butterfly),
different transport mechanisms (SCTP, AMQP, PGM) etc., however, from the
point of view of testing on a different Linux distro, different language
tests are the most interesting.
Also, it would be extremely helpful if you report all the problems
you've encountered with building/installing/using different language
bindings. Such an info can be used to create a FAQ that would help other
users of 0MQ to get it running.
Cheers.
Martin
