[zeromq-dev] ØMQ design goal

Hi,

  One design goal which I don't see explicitly listed but should be
considered is as follows:

* ØMQ should be able migrate between different types of network
connections as conditions suggest (say TCP to PGM, PGM to TCP).

The reason being that better performance can be gained on TCP for a low
number of recipients.  It would certainly be redundant to multicast to
only one receiver.
