I like your (lengthy) comment at the beginning of the discussion. Too
bad a lot of stuff like this is produced and gradually falls into oblivion.
By now it is clear that using 0MQ requires a mental paradigm shift (the
"a-ha" moment) and -- unfortunately -- we are doing were little to
alleviate it for the users. That's the reason IMO why "0MQ is
interesting but lacks documentation" complaint is often heard -- even
though there's detailed reference (man pages) available.
Maybe it should be worth starting collecting the texts that people
believe are enlightening (for example, I really liked Brian Granger's
comment about "you need bunch of 0MQ sockets to replace your TCP
connection" yesterday. The goal being transforming them to a book
(booklet) that would explain the basic concepts to newbies and lead them
throught the paradigm shift.
